The SaskTel Small Business Spotlight celebrates those making an impact through service, innovation, and community leadership. 

Two winners will receive grand prizes, including a spotlight video, an article, and advertising to help promote their business.

Nominate a business that stands out for the right reasons

We are looking for Saskatchewan small businesses that make a noticeable difference in their community, show innovative or unique business practices, and deliver exceptional customer service.

If a local business comes to mind, submit their nomination.

Promotion Details

Two winners will be selected by August 12, 2026. Each will receive a prize package including:

  • $4,000 in Directwest billboard advertising space
  • A spotlight video funded and produced by SaskTel
  • A spotlight article funded and produced by SaskTel

  • An individual can nominate a business only once, but can nominate any number of businesses for consideration.
  • Business owners can nominate their own business.
  • Businesses with 100 or fewer employees that operate within Saskatchewan, independently of a large corporation, are eligible for nomination.
  • An individual may only cast one vote during the voting period.
  • Businesses that have won a SaskTel Small Business Spotlight prize package within the last 5 years are ineligible to win in 2026.

Nomination Deadline: June 24, 2026

Voting: July 8 - July 29, 2026

Winners Announced: August 2026

After all nominations have been received, an internal panel at SaskTel will curate a list of the top 10 nominated businesses based on the following weighted criteria:

  • 25% Innovation and uniqueness
  • 25% Demonstration of customer satisfaction
  • 25% Community involvement
  • 25% Total votes received

The nominated business must be a current SaskTel Business customer as of June 24, 2026, to be eligible for the top 10 list of nominees.

SaskTel is the final judge and decision-maker in determining the winners of this promotion. Prize winner selection will be largely influenced by the total number of votes received in the final round of voting, but SaskTel will, in determining the winners, give additional consideration to businesses in smaller communities.

SaskTel reserves the right to cancel or otherwise modify the terms of this promotion at any time and for any reason at SaskTel's discretion.

SaskTel and Directwest are the sole sponsors of this promotion.

By participating in the Promotion, entrants are deemed to have understood and agreed to be bound by these Promotion Terms.
